Custom and made-to-order jewelry is created specifically for an individual customer and is therefore final sale once the design has been approved and production has begun.
Once a customer approves the CAD, design specifications, stone selection, or other applicable production details and authorizes Madison & Sons to proceed with production, the order may no longer be canceled, returned, or exchanged.

- Custom jewelry designs
- Special-order jewelry
- Jewelry manufactured to customer-selected specifications
- Personalized pieces
- Custom engravings
- Specially sourced stones when designated as part of a custom order
Custom and made-to-order items remain covered in situations where the completed piece contains a verified manufacturing defect or materially differs from the specifications approved by the customer.
Orders that have not yet entered production may be eligible for cancellation at the discretion of Madison & Sons.
Once custom design work, CAD development, stone sourcing, manufacturing, engraving, resizing, or other customer-specific work has begun, applicable deposits, design fees, customization fees, and other costs may become non-refundable.
Once a custom design has been approved and production has begun, the order is considered final and cannot be canceled.
Any non-refundable deposit or fee will be disclosed as part of the applicable order or custom-design process.
If your order arrives damaged, contains a manufacturing defect, or is materially different from the item or specifications you approved, please contact Madison & Sons promptly after delivery.
We will review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, exchange, or refund depending on the circumstances.
If Madison & Sons determines that an item was damaged prior to delivery, manufactured incorrectly, or does not materially match the approved order, Madison & Sons will cover reasonable return shipping costs associated with correcting the issue.
Damage resulting from normal wear, accidents, misuse, improper care, impact, loss, theft, or work performed by another jeweler is not considered a manufacturing defect.
